Federal statistics show that for years, the 1.5 million people who live on or near reservations have seen children die at about twice the national rate. Quoted in the article is Jon Perez, director of behavioral health at the federal Indian Health Service, who said, “What you have are developing countries right in the heart of the United States. Each has a history of neglect and a legacy of trauma that explains these disparities. We need this history not as excuses for the disparities but as a need to intervene.”

The Problem
Organic produce and whole grains nourish your body, but are expensive!
The Solution
Create more community access to organic produce and make it affordable to all! Affirm everyone's right to food that is good, safe, healthful, and fair.
Long Term Goal
Is to connect inner-city youths to the earth, and participate in a holistic training program where they will learn about nutrition and experiential farming, from the classroom to the farm, a skill that they will pass down to their own children. Provide a paid youth employment program, and bridge the generational divide through community engagement and harvest celebrations.
Our Mission
To act as a dispensary of health and wellness information to the community at low or no cost.
